The first time I chatted with Andrea it was like I was instantly talking to an old friend, we chatted about our dogs (we are both dog obsessed), that we both like champagne (a lot) and we laughed a lot.
When we finally got around to actually talking about weddings, her wedding specifically, she gave me the low down on her vision for the day. Lot’s and lot’s and lots of greenery she said, she wanted to bring the garden inside. She wanted a venue that was edgy, a raw space that we could create this dynamic vision. I knew I wanted to work with Andrea instantly but it wasn’t until she uttered her last vision request that I got really over the top excited, and that was all her eight bridesmaids would all wear white dresses!!!!!! It was that moment that I died just a little inside and knew this was my girl. See, I’ve been praying to the wedding God to bring me a bride that wanted to put her girls in white, it’s been a vision in my head for years. It’s so elegant, classy, romantic and all that white photographs so amazing.
So fast forward into planning, I get to meet her man, Sam (totally cool guy), we book the Rialto Theatre (one of my favorite venues), we hire Chris Craze as her DJ, see having a wedding was a given, throwing a PAR-TAY was the goal. Chris was perfect to rock them into a 1AM closing time. Andrea & I met several times to discuss décor and once the vision was solidified and my inspiration board complete, we headed off to FH Weddings to nail down the design. Greenery everywhere, greenery chandeliers, a greenery photo back drop that lined an entire wall, greenery running down the draped entrance, just greenery everywhere. The final details were the vintage lounge sets from Reserve Vintage (my go to) that were styled perfectly around the dance floor. Of course, food was a priority so we brought in Good Food Catering to feed the guest with some of Sam & Andrea’s favorites, pizza & chicken wings among other great dishes.
Sam & Andrea really did this right, they did what they wanted, they didn’t ask for permission, they didn’t stray from their vision, they kept it real & true to them. The result, well…..you can see for yourself.
