Old Florida – Sarah and Jimmy

Sarah and Jimmy Old Florida Wedding

What do you get when two native Floridians get engaged and plan a wedding….well you get an Old Florida Theme of course. Being a native Floridian myself I immediately understood Sarah and Jimmy’s vision. They wanted a natural and elegant wedding that touched lightly on their love for the woods and water. Sarah focused on incorporating Florida greenery such as palm and magnolia and Florida fruits into many of the details. One of my favorite details was the clementine escort table. The clementines we set in a bed of box wood greenery and cut to hold a beautiful escort card by Julie Hannon Designs. This was one of the first details the guest saw when they entered the reception and it was a HIT! Sarah and Jimmy also wanted to include personal items into their wedding. Sarah walked down the aisle with a mother of pearl bible tied to her bouquet, the same bible her mother held as she walked down the aisle when she was married and Jimmy and his brother cut the cake stand together from an old cypress tree. Every detail was carefully thought out to achieve their Old Florida Theme vision. As always I’m incredibly thankful that Sarah and Jimmy trusted me to help guide, suggest, direct and execute such a BIG day!

From the Bride-
I attended a wedding she had coordinated and it had run beautifully so I knew she was excellent. Our phone interview was wonderful and after speaking with her, decided to also hire her to help with décor (a very small fee for what she does, the woman is phenomenal!). It was apparent from our first phone meeting to the day of the wedding that she had thought of everything and as a result, the entire day was incredible without a single hitch. The day of our wedding, we were able to completely enjoy, relax, and live the moment. We never had to worry about if, when, where, or how things were coming together because Kimberly was steering everything from the hotel to the church to the reception. I was comforted knowing she would handle any surprise should they arise and she would do so with grace and poise.
