Michelle & Edwin's Ca' d'Zan at the Ringling Museum Wedding, Sarasota

When Michelle & Edwin hired me to plan their spring wedding, I asked them what was most important to them and they both said “Throwing a GREAT party”. Their top 2 priorities were the band & the venue. They wanted a venue that was lavish and needed minimal décor- so naturally, the Ca’d’Zan at the Ringling Museum would be the perfect fit.

Decor Inspiration: Michelle wasn’t a huge fan of flowers but loved antique & vintage décor pieces.

Edwin’s perfect band would be a 10 piece band with 3 lead singers. The band chosen for their wedding would be the ever-so-entertaining C’Nergy Band -who would end up taking down the house by the end of the night.

Another important part of Michelle & Edwin’s day was for it to be interactive and keep guest entertained not only by the band, but by additional entertainers.

Edwin & Michelle both have a palette for bourbon so a bourbon bar coupled with a cigar roller was very necessary for the evening party.

During cocktail hour, we hired a caricaturist to draw pictures of the guest. And the family style dinner kept guest full as trays of food were brought to the table for the guest to pass & share.

This was one of those weddings where no one ever sat down. I LOVED IT!!!

From the Bride: I cannot express fully how much Kimberly meant to us. You know how when you are young you imagine your dream wedding and hope it one day comes true? Well, all I can say is that I had that and so much more thanks to all the time, hard work and energy from Kimberly Hensley. She truly made a dream come true. She always was available to discuss wedding ideas and planning items. No question was too big or small to discuss with her. She went above and beyond so many times in the wedding planning process I cannot thank her enough. People always say there is something that goes wrong on your wedding day. Truth be told, if that happened I would never know because she handled everything so expertly. I feel so lucky and blessed that I found Kimberly ahead of time for our wedding, our wedding was one for a lifetime thanks to her.
